Morfa Bychan 25/09/2007
Time: 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
Tide: HW-2 to HW+1. Spring tide.
Weather: Unsettled, strong north wind though sheltered in the bay.
Sea: Calm in the bay, but a big swell
Tackle & Bait: 3 hook flapper with mackerel strip
Fishing: 2 dogs and no other bites.
Comments: Saw shoals of whitebait boiling the surface only a few yards out. Not seen that at all on the west coast. Will try to get back after work tomorrow for another go with large baits for bass and will take the spinning rod to try for some more mackerel when I see the shoals in. Met a chap trying to catch mackerel for livebait for bass, but he didn't get any from the rocks.
